The staff we met was welcoming. Our room was big and compact equipped with toiletries, the bathroom and homely, paid £ 145.

my recent stay in picton exceeded all expectations. the lodge's refurbishment gave it a fresh and contemporary feel. the hosts were pleasant and the breakfast had a variety of food. highly recommended!

Limited space in the room made it difficult to enjoy tea without a small table and chairs.

I was pleasantly surprised when I arrived at Admirals Lodge and found that breakfast was included in the room rate. The manager even offered to have breakfast ready for me earlier than scheduled, which was a great convenience. The service provided here is excellent, and the staff goes above and beyond to ensure a positive experience. The building and furnishings may be older, but they are well-maintained and in good condition. I had a great stay and would recommend Admirals Lodge to others looking for a value-for-money accommodation option.

Near centre of Picton, easy parking and breakfast included

I came up by bus from Christchurch. Arrived at 09.15 pm and rain just poured down. Walked to the lodge and I was the only guest. The owner searched across town for me. Outstanding customer care. Thanks.

The B&B is located conveniently close to the harbor and city center, making it easy to explore the local area. Despite a few negative experiences with staff, the rooms themselves are adequate and clean. The breakfast options are decent and provided a good start to the day.

The service could use improvement, with issues like delayed check-in times and poor communication with staff being notable drawbacks.

The room was very small, TV reception poor, the window could not be safely left open (ground level, no security), and the bathroom door had see through glass

Very friendly and accomodating service. Good continental breakfast selection. Comfortable lounge and dining area is well suited for bringing in take-away meals. Short walk to restaurants, bars, harbour sites, and local hikes.

Shower water pressure and water temperature control was a little finicky but no big deal overall.

Good location close to the waterfront and downtown area. The view of the harbor from the room was stunning. The bed was very comfortable.
